Shakespearean Festival

Originally inspired by the famed Shakespeare festival in Oregon, the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, Utah has developed into its own tribute to the adored playwright. Running from June through the end of October, the entire festival is centered on a series of shops and theaters, including a replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London that so closely resembles the original that it was used for a TV series in the 1980s chronicling Shakespeare's work. The festival has won a Tony award for Outstanding Regional Theater and in its 40th year is one of the oldest Shakespearean festivals in the United States.
